Rare sight in Rajasthan's Ranthambore: Forest Officials Thrilled to See Tiger, Leopard, and Cheetah Together
Forest officials were amazed to see a tiger, a leopard, and a cheetah together in Zone 9 of the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur district. The cheetah had arrived from Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park.
Describing this sighting within the Ranthambore Tiger Reserve as a rare spectacle in the sanctuary's history, sources within the Forest Department released videos and photographs of the event on Monday. The simultaneous sighting of these top predators—the tiger, leopard, and cheetah—in close proximity within Zone 9 of the reserve is not only thrilling but also truly awe-inspiring and unprecedented. Sources indicated that the entire department, along with tourists, is thrilled by this rare occurrence.
Notably, just prior to this sighting, the department had expressed apprehension regarding Zone 9—an area dominated by tigress T-127 and tiger T-107—fearing that an untoward incident could occur involving KP-2, the cheetah that had strayed into the area from Kuno National Park. However, this actual sighting has taken everyone by surprise.
