Ministry of Health spokesperson Hossein Kermianpour described the incident as a direct attack on the global health system. He noted that the institute was established in 1920 and has played a pivotal role in the country's medical research and pharmaceutical development.

Photographs taken after the attack revealed that several sections of the building were severely damaged, while other parts had been reduced to rubble. Iran has strongly condemned the incident, characterizing it as an attack on civilian infrastructure.
