Ramnagar (Nainital): On Thursday, on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Janmotsav, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Shri Hanuman Dham located at Choi in Ramnagar. There, he performed ritualistic worship and offered prayers for the happiness and prosperity of the state.

During the visit, the entire temple complex appeared steeped in an atmosphere of devotion and faith, with a large number of devotees in attendance.

Participates in bhandara

The Chief Minister also participated in the 'Bhandara' (community feast) program and spent time interacting with the devotees. He remarked that it was a privilege for him to be amidst the devotees on such a sacred occasion as Hanuman Janmotsav. He added that without the grace of Bajrangbali (Lord Hanuman), no one can ever reach His divine abode.

In his address, he highlighted the various religious and cultural development initiatives undertaken across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He described the construction of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and the ongoing development works at the Kedarnath and Badrinath Dhams as historic achievements.

Dhami stated that Uttarakhand is the 'Devbhumi' (Land of Gods), and preserving its rich religious and cultural heritage remains the government's top priority. He noted that continuous efforts are being made to boost religious tourism within the state, thereby helping the region gain global recognition.

Preparations for the Kumbh Mela has commenced

He further informed that preparations for the Kumbh Mela, scheduled for 2027, have already commenced, while special emphasis is being placed on further strengthening the Char Dham Yatra. He mentioned that approximately 1.60 lakh devotees have already visited the shrines during the ongoing winter pilgrimage season, a figure that underscores the growing popularity of religious tourism.

The Chief Minister affirmed that the state government's objective is to ensure that the benefits of development reach every last person in the state, and that continuous efforts are being made to transform Uttarakhand into the best state in the country.

Several public representatives, government officials, and a large gathering of devotees were present on this occasion.
