West Bengal Assembly Election 2026: What RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said while predictting win for Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal Assembly Election 2026: RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has once again predicted a victory for Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal.
He is currently campaigning for the Trinamool Congress in the West Bengal Assembly elections. He has also held road-shows and public rallies across the state.
Tejashwi Yadav stated, "She (Mamata Banerjee) should wait until May 4th; the results will be evident to everyone. The people of Bengal are once again choosing Mamata-ji. All our people from Bihar will unite to ensure her victory, and we will win."
In a social media post, Tejashwi Yadav asserted, "Mamata Didi is fighting like a lioness. The Prime Minister seems less like a leader and more like an actor."
A large number of people from Bihar reside in West Bengal for work-related purposes.
Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has also consistently described the Bihari population living in West Bengal as a significant political force.
Kejriwal holds a public rally
Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party National Convener Arvind Kejriwal held a public rally in West Bengal in support of Mamata Banerjee and took aim at PM Modi.
He alleged, "Modi ji cannot win elections honestly; he has three friends—the ED, the CBI, and Gyanesh Kumar (the Chief Election Commissioner)."
Kejriwal stated, "I have learned that Army has been summoned here from across the entire country. What is the need for this? Are the people of Bengal terrorists? This is an insult to the people of Bengal."
He added, "Even after all this, if Modi ji loses the election, the people of Bengal want to ask him: will he resign?"
Voting for the first phase of the elections in West Bengal took place on April 23, and a record voter turnout was recorded on that day.
Voting for the second phase in the state is scheduled for April 29, and the election results will be declared on May 4.
