A Confluence of Service, Values, and Remembrance: Special Events on Vijesh Lunawat's 5th Death Anniversary
The 5th death anniversary of the late leader Vijesh Lunawat—who gave a new direction to social causes in Madhya Pradesh—will be observed this year with a spirit of service and dedication. Organized by the Vijesh Lunawat Smriti Foundation, these events aim to keep his ideals alive within society and to inspire the new generation.
The Commemoration: Adorned with Service and Values
A platform for children through a painting competition
A message of cleanliness through voluntary labor (Shramdaan)
Creative initiatives centered on environmental themes
A stage to honor talented individuals
A showcase of the journey of service initiatives
According to information provided by the Foundation, the events commenced on Sunday, May 3rd, at 8:00 AM. On this day, a grand painting competition for children was organized at the Jawahar Bal Udyan.
The competition was divided into two age categories: "Water is Life" (Jal Hi Jeevan Hai) was the designated theme for children aged 6 to 10 years, while "Green Bhopal, Clean Bhopal" was the theme for those aged 10 to 17 years. A noteworthy feature of the event was that drawing sheets and coloring materials were provided to all participating children by the Foundation.
This initiative was not limited merely to the competition; it was also interwoven with a sense of social responsibility. Alongside the painting competition, parents, Foundation members, and social activists joined hands to undertake a collective 'Shramdaan' (voluntary labor) to clean the park premises and the adjacent pond area. This initiative is being hailed as a significant step toward raising awareness regarding environmental conservation and cleanliness.
