Bhopal: BMC's New Building Designed on Green Building Concept, Citizens to Get All Civic Services Under One Roof

MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav congratulated the citizens of Bhopal on the inauguration of the new headquarters building of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation and said that this building, in Bhopal, the clean and green capital of the country and the city of lakes, will become a symbol of good governance. 

CM said that former Prime Minister ‘Bharat Ratna’ late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had considered public service as the foundation of governance. Established in his name, ‘Atal Bhavan’ will emerge as a centre of accessible, systematic and transparent civic services. 

CM Dr. Yadav expressed these views while addressing the inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed headquarters building ‘Atal Bhavan’ of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation. He said that this modern building would symbolise good governance, improved civic amenities and a new resolve for development in the city.




Message Written on Cleanliness Pledge Board , ‘Bhopal Will Remain Number One’

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. He also unveiled the foundation plaque and inspected the new premises. On the cleanliness pledge board, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav wrote the message: ‘Bhopal will remain number one in cleanliness’.

Dr. Yadav also remotely inaugurated the solar energy project developed by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation in Deori village of Neemuch district under the PPP mode at a cost of approximately Rs 14 crore. CM was felicitated with an angavastram and a memento during the inauguration ceremony. He also directed that Shri Kallu Bhai and his fellow shehnai artists performing at the event be given Rs 5,000 each as encouragement.\



Bhopal is being developed as a Metropolitan City

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the new headquarters building of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation has been developed on the Green Building concept. The building has been designed to provide all civic facilities to citizens under one roof. Adequate arrangements for natural sunlight and ventilation have been made in the building in accordance with the principles of historically proven Indian architecture. The building will independently meet its own energy requirements.

Chief Minister said that the 10.5 MW solar energy project established at Deori village in Neemuch district was also inaugurated today. Electricity supply for the building will be sourced through open access from the Neemuch solar plant. A solar energy plant is also being installed in the parking area of the premises. He said that the building is a remarkable example of energy self-reliance and environmental conservation. The pride of Madhya Pradesh’s capital, Bhopal, is increasing day by day, and the city is being developed as a metropolitan city. By connecting Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha and Rajgarh with Bhopal, the region will scale new heights of development.
