Under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan (Water Ganga Conservation Campaign), cleaning and repair work was undertaken on natural springs—specifically Ramdol ki Jhiria and Dane Baba ki Jhiria—located in the Bhartala Beat of the Raipura Range within the South Panna Forest Division. As a result, these springs have been revitalized and continue to hold water, even amidst the scorching summer heat. This has led to the return of wild birds to the forest areas surrounding the springs, and the region's biodiversity has been rejuvenated.

A large number of beehives, now brimming with honey, can be seen around these natural water sources. Bird nests have once again become inhabited, and the activity of other wildlife has also increased.

The forest area is now teeming with numerous bird species, including the Doodhraj (Asian Paradise Flycatcher), Black-naped Monarch, Kingfisher, Hawk, Owl, Peacock, Green Pigeon (Hariyal), and Junglefowl. Eggs have also been discovered in the nests of several birds. This clearly demonstrates that the region has now evolved into a safe and favorable natural habitat for wildlife, as well as for both resident and migratory birds.

These natural springs used to typically dry up in summer

Local villagers and forest personnel noted that, until last summer, these natural springs would typically dry up completely during periods of intense heat. Under the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Abhiyan, the Forest Department identified these springs and carried out their cleaning and repair. Thanks to the Forest Department's efforts, water has been flowing continuously in these springs throughout this year. These water sources are providing much-needed relief to wildlife and birds. Furthermore, this forest area has emerged as a vital ecological sanctuary for bees, butterflies, and other small creatures.

This coordinated effort toward water conservation and biodiversity preservation has emerged as an effective model for nature conservation within the South Panna Forest Division.
