The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has launched a significant digital initiative to provide local employment opportunities to the youth and give fresh momentum to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The government has expanded its ambitious project, 'Blue Dots AI', to all 18 divisions of the state.

The initiative was launched by Kapil Dev Agarwal, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, through the inauguration of the state's first Joint Facility Centre (JFC) in Muzaffarnagar.

The objective of this platform is to bridge the information gap between local industries and youth seeking employment. Youth will now be able to access job-related information via voice calls in their local language and easily locate jobs available near their homes using mobile maps. This is expected to reduce migration to big cities in search of employment.

'Blue Dots AI' was initially implemented as a pilot project in Ghaziabad, where it yielded positive results. Within that limited area, over 16,000 job opportunities were identified, and more than 15,000 candidates successfully registered. Following this success, the decision was made to implement the project across the entire state.

Spearheaded by the UP Skill Development Mission, this project is supported by organizations such as EY, EkStep Foundation, and Head Held High Foundation. In the upcoming phases, 'Joint Facilitation Centres' will be established across all 18 divisions, where ITIs, polytechnics, the Labour Department, employment exchanges, and local MSMEs will work in a coordinated manner on a single platform.

The government believes that this initiative will not only boost employment generation but also strengthen the goal of an 'Atmanirbhar Uttar Pradesh' (Self-reliant Uttar Pradesh).
