MP: CM Mohan Yadav Interacts with Women of Krishna Livelihood SHG at Kukru in Betul; Enjoys Taste of Kukru's Famous Mawa—Encourages Women Entrepreneurs

MP Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the livelihood activities being carried out by the women of the Krishna Livelihood Self-Help Group at the hill station of Kukru in Betul district on Saturday. He enjoyed the taste of the group's mawa and rabri, interacted warmly with the women and appreciated their entrepreneurial efforts. 

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav enquired about the group's activities, sources of income and the support they had received under various government schemes. He commended their efforts towards achieving economic self-reliance and women-led entrepreneurship.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also observed the process of preparing mawa using an automated machine installed at the outlet and interacted with the women about their journey towards self-reliance. He said SHGs are playing a vital role in strengthening the rural economy while enabling women to become financially independent. CM Mohan Yadav reiterated that the State Government is continuously working to promote women's empowerment and self-employment opportunities.



Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also enquired whether the beneficiaries were receiving financial assistance regularly under the Ladli Behna Yojana. The women confirmed that they were receiving the benefits on time and expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister.

President of the Krishna Livelihood Self-Help Group, Smt. Shobha Gayane, informed that the group has received financial assistance of Rs 3 lakh under the Cash Credit Limit (CCL), Rs 1 lakh under the Community Investment Fund (CIF), Rs 11,000 under the Revolving Fund (RF) and Rs 40,000 under the PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme. 

She said the group comprises 11 members and has purchased an automated mawa-making machine through support from the National Rural Livelihood Mission, enabling it to earn a monthly income of around Rs 25,000.



Members of the group said they are engaged in animal husbandry, dairy farming, the production of mawa, rabri, and shrikhand, as well as agricultural activities. These livelihood initiatives provide each member with a monthly income of approximately Rs 15,000 to 18,000, contributing significantly to their economic empowerment.
