UP: Kashi to Host Event Showcasing 12 Years of Modi Govt's Welfare Schemes; CM Yogi to Attend
Varanasi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has completed a historic journey of 4,399 days (12 years) in office, marking the longest continuous tenure of any Prime Minister in the country. Events celebrating this achievement are being organized nationwide. Camps showcasing the welfare schemes of various departments—highlighting the "12 Unparalleled Years" of the central government—are being held at the Girija Devi Sanskritik Sankul in Chaukaghat In Varanasi.
Through this initiative, the general public will be informed about various government schemes and enabled to avail their benefits. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will arrive on June 12 to participate in this event and meet with beneficiaries at the welfare scheme camps.
The event, marking the completion of 12 years of the central government, will primarily benefit recipients of the PM SVANidhi scheme (street vendors), the Vishwakarma Yojana, and various Chief Minister-led schemes.
Stalls will be set up
Stalls featuring products under the 'One District One Product' (ODOP) initiative—such as Lassi, Tiranga Barfi, Laung-Lata, and Paan—will be set up.
Additionally, stalls will showcase wooden toys, Pink Meenakari (enamel work), and services/products from various departments including Child Development & Women Welfare, Agriculture, Horticulture, NEDA, Tourism, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Chief Minister's Housing Scheme, Handloom & Labor, Social Welfare, Backward Classes Welfare, Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Employment Exchange, UP Skill Development Mission, Panchayati Raj, Fisheries, and Animal Husbandry & Dairy.
The Health Department will provide facilities such as breast cancer screening, eye check-ups, Ayushman card registration, and general OPD services at the venue. A team of doctors will be present at a single location to assist persons with disabilities, facilitating the issuance of certificates and easing access to other welfare schemes.
