Krishka Kalyan Varsh–2026: Agricultural Equipment Rental Shops to be Opened in Every Assembly Constituency of Madhya Pradesh
Following instructions of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the State Government is preparing plans to ensure that at least one Agricultural Equipment Rental Shop in every Assembly constituency to enhance farmers' access to modern farm machinery.
As part of Krishank Kalyan Varsh–2026, the initiative is expected to deliver significant benefits, particularly for small and marginal farmers, enabling them to use advanced agricultural equipment for land preparation and other farming activities at affordable rates.
At present, 5,260 agricultural equipment rental centres are operational in the state. To further strengthen the network, the Government will establish 1,060 new agricultural equipment rental shops every year.
Madhya Pradesh is also rapidly moving towards self-reliance in the manufacturing of agricultural machinery. Vidisha district has emerged as a model by producing high-quality agricultural implements such as graders, levellers, hydraulic trolleys, cultivators and ploughs. The district is home to nearly 150 agricultural equipment manufacturing units, and the machinery produced there is in demand not only across India but also in international markets.
Agricultural implements manufactured in Vidisha are being exported to countries including Madagascar, Nigeria, Sudan, Uganda, Ghana, Algeria, Guatemala, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh.
The initiative has enabled small farmers to access advanced farm machinery at nominal service charges while also encouraging young entrepreneurs to establish enterprises in the agricultural equipment manufacturing sector.
Usha Agro manufactures a wide range of agricultural machinery
Manas Gupta of Usha Agro said that the company manufactures a wide range of agricultural machinery, including loaders, unloaders and cultivators, all of which are designed to meet farmers' requirements. He said the business was started by his father in 1993 on a small scale and has since grown steadily into an internationally recognised enterprise.
Gupta said local farmers remain the company's largest customers, with most products being sold within the domestic market. However, the company also exports to several countries, including Nigeria, Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Ghana, Algeria and the United Arab Emirates. Nearly two-thirds of the company's business comes from the domestic market, while one-third comes from exports. The company records an annual turnover of around Rs 4 crore. Gupta credited the State Government for supporting the enterprise from production to business expansion.
Vishnu Sharma of Sanjay Udyog manufactures tractor implements such as cultivators and ploughs that help farmers prepare their fields efficiently. He said the company's products are supplied primarily in Vidisha and neighbouring districts, while also reaching other states. The enterprise records an annual turnover of around Rs 50 lakh.
Vipin Raghuvanshi of M/s Kisan Industries said the company manufactures cultivators, ploughs, loaders and unloaders. Most of its products are sold in Vidisha and nearby areas, while farmers from neighbouring districts also purchase the equipment.
Deepak Narwariya of M/s Agro Smart Technology said the company manufactures machinery required for every stage of farming—from land preparation to transplantation, sowing and harvesting.
