Telecom Manufacturing Zone to be Established in Gwalior on 100 acres of land in SADA area: Employment opportunities for thousands of youths
Gwalior: A major decision has been taken in Gwalior district aimed at fostering industrial development and creating new employment opportunities. Orders have been issued to reclaim 100 acres (40.468 hectares) of land currently under the jurisdiction of the Special Area Development Authority (SADA) and re-register it under the Revenue Department for the establishment of a 'Telecom Manufacturing Zone.'
These orders were issued by Collector and District Magistrate Ruchika Chauhan. According to official information, government land had previously been allocated to SADA (Madhavrao Counter Magnet City) for development projects. Following a request from the M.P. Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) and the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, the process of transferring a portion of this land for industrial use was initiated.
Under the order issued by the Collector's Court, 40.468 hectares (100 acres) of land—excluding areas designated for roads—is being reclaimed from SADA. The implementation of this ambitious project will boost telecom-related industries in the Gwalior region and create large-scale employment opportunities for local youth.
Investment Prospects for Telecom Companies to Rise
Experts believe that the establishment of a telecom manufacturing zone will boost investment prospects for companies manufacturing electronics and telecom equipment. Additionally, sectors such as logistics, warehousing, transportation, and other ancillary industries will receive a significant impetus.
Employment Opportunities for Thousands of Youths
Once the project commences, thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities are expected to be created in Gwalior. This will provide jobs to local youth, accelerate industrial activity, and strengthen the regional economy. If the project is completed on schedule, Gwalior could emerge as a major telecom manufacturing hub in Madhya Pradesh in the coming years.
