1.22 Lakh Students in MP to Receive Rs 25,000 Each for Laptop Purchase: CM Mohan Yadav to Transfer Funds on This Day
The dream of meritorious students in Madhya Pradesh who scored 75 per cent or more marks in Class 12 in their first attempt to connect with modern technology is set to become a reality soon. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer Rs 25,000 each to around 1.22 lakh students to purchase laptops. The amount will be transferred on September 1 at the laptop purchase assistance distribution programme to be held at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre in Bhopal.
The State Government is implementing the Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana through the School Education Department to encourage students and connect them with digital technology. Under the scheme, every eligible student who secures 75% or more marks in the Class 12 examination in the first attempt receives an incentive of Rs 25,000 to purchase a laptop.
Supporting Meritorious Students with Digital Resources
This year, around 1.22 lakh students across the state are being covered under the scheme. ₹25,000 will be transferred to each student’s bank account, with the total disbursement exceeding ₹304.98 crore.
The State Government’s initiative is an important step towards providing meritorious students with the digital resources needed for higher education and connecting them with modern technology. Laptops will enable students to make greater use of online learning, digital study materials, e-learning and other technological resources to enhance their education
