Arvind Limited Proposes Rs1200 Cr Investment in Madhya Pradesh; CM Mohan Yadav Discusses with Company Vice Chairman Kulin Lalbhai in Ahmedabad
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said that the relationship between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will be further strengthened with the Arvind Group setting up its industrial units in Madhya Pradesh. In line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, production at PM MITRA Park is targeted to commence by next year. This will create new employment opportunities for the State's youth.
Arvind Group setting up units at three locations
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Arvind Group is setting up units at three locations — Barlai near Dewas, PM MITRA Park in Dhar and Betma in Indore. The company is also operating in other areas. The expansion of these industrial activities will create more employment opportunities for the youth of Madhya Pradesh. The CM said this after his discussion on Wednesday with Arvind Limited Vice Chairman Shri Kulin Lalbhai in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Industrial investment will create employment for the youth
CM Mohan Yadav said that cooperation between Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will further strengthen the relationship between the two States. Industrial investment will not only create employment for the youth but also provide additional resources for the State's development through tax revenue generated by industry. This will further accelerate the State’s development. He congratulated and extended his best wishes for the initiative.
The meeting covered the company’s proposed investment in Madhya Pradesh, establishment of an industrial unit at PM MITRA Park, employment generation, textile and apparel sector investment, water reuse in industrial areas, and modern communication systems for Simhastha-2028. Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Neeraj Mandloi, Secretary, Industries John Kingsley and MD, MPIDC Chandramauli Shukla were present.
Rs 1,200 Crore Investment Proposed in PM MITRA Park
Arvind Limited has proposed an investment of around Rs 1,200 crore in PM MITRA Park. The company has been allotted 105 acres of land for the project. Under an agreement with Indore-based Pepcon Private Limited, around 7 million garments are manufactured annually.
Dr. Yadav discussed measures to expedite the establishment of the industrial unit and the investment process at PM MITRA Park.
Water Reuse to be Promoted in Industrial Areas
The possibilities of Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) solutions for water reuse in industrial areas were also discussed. The suggestion to develop a ‘Circular Water Economy’ model by connecting industrial parks with STPs of nearby municipal corporations was also discussed.
Preparation for Modern Communication Systems for Simhastha-2028
The possibilities of using mission-critical communication networks during Simhastha-2028 were also discussed. Arya Omnitalk Solutions, a joint venture between Arvind Limited and JM Baxi Group, provides mission-critical wireless communication, walkie-talkie networks, PMRT and public safety communication solutions. The meeting discussed the potential use of such mission-critical communication networks for police, security forces, disaster management, health services and event management during Simhastha-2028.
Dr. Yadav Invites Arvind Limited for GIS-2027
Dr. Yadav also invited Arvind Limited to participate in the Global Investors Summit (GIS)-2027. Arvind Limited is one of India’s leading textile groups. Established in 1931 and headquartered in Ahmedabad, the company operates across denim, apparel, fabrics and the textile value chain. More than 60,000 people are employed across various industrial units of the group, while the company procures raw material from more than one lakh cotton-growing farmers.
