Fourth edition of Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show in Greater Noida from Sep 25 to 29... find out what will be special?
Uttar Pradesh no longer wishes to limit itself to the domestic market; instead, it is gearing up to establish itself as a major hub for global trade. As part of this initiative, the fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) will be held in Greater Noida from September 25 to 29, 2026. Hosted at the India Expo Centre & Mart, the event will showcase the state's industrial prowess, products, technology, and export potential to the world.
While reviewing preparations for the trade show, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described it as a global platform for Uttar Pradesh. The government aims to use this event to provide industries of all sizes—from small to large—access to international markets and to establish Uttar Pradesh as a key center for manufacturing and exports.
UPITS 2026 will attract buyers from over 85 countries. More than 550 international buyers are expected to attend the event. Additionally, over 2,400 exhibitors will showcase their products and services.
The government has set ambitious business targets for this edition of the trade show. Projections indicate that over 4,000 MoUs could be signed, with targets set for investment proposals exceeding Rs 3,200 crore and business inquiries worth more than Rs 13,500 crore.
This event will be more than just an exhibition; it will serve as a major platform for forging business partnerships among domestic and international companies, investors, and entrepreneurs.
UP’s Strength on Display: From ODOP to Defense
The trade show will offer a glimpse into Uttar Pradesh's diverse industrial capabilities. Over 27 sectors—including the state's renowned 'One District One Product' (ODOP) scheme, MSMEs, electronics, IT, defense and aerospace, agriculture, e-vehicles, pharmaceuticals, startups, and handicrafts—will be prominently showcased.
Through the ODOP initiative, efforts will be made to connect artisans from villages and small towns with the global market. At the same time, UP's growing potential in the electronics, defense, and EV sectors will be showcased to the world.
Knowledge sessions for experts will also be organized on topics such as AI, digital trade, free trade agreements, food processing, and new labor codes.
A message to the world through the ‘UP for Global Growth’ theme
The theme for this year's trade show is "UP for Global Growth: Innovation, Manufacturing, and Exports." Through this, Uttar Pradesh is preparing to present its new industrial identity to the world.
The government has planned to enhance engagement with countries such as Singapore, Oman, Austria, Brazil, Thailand, Japan, Indonesia, and Russia. The objective is to attract maximum foreign investment and business partnerships to the state.
Glimpses of the state's cultural heritage will also be displayed at the venue. UP's culture will be showcased to global guests through Kathak, folk dances, and classical music.
Preparing to give new momentum to employment and investment
UPITS 2026 is being viewed not merely as a trade event but as a major opportunity for job creation. Along with industrial development, the state government is also emphasizing skill development for the youth.
The 'Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Employment and Industrial Area Development Scheme' was also discussed during the review meeting. Under this scheme, a target has been set to provide skill training to 10 lakh youths annually and achieve an 80 percent placement rate.
Companies such as TCS, BVG Group, and Hiranandani Group have shown interest in this scheme. In the first phase, 17 training centers are being developed across 19 districts on 1,320 acres of identified land.
Overall, UPITS 2026 is set to become a platform for Uttar Pradesh to showcase its strengths to the world—ranging from local products to modern industries. The government aims for this event to prove a significant step towards transforming UP into a "manufacturing hub" and a "global export center."
