Impressive performance by Madhya Pradesh athletes in Pune: Players win 4 medals at National ITF Triathlon Championship
Athletes from the Madhya Pradesh Triathlon Academy brought glory to the state with outstanding performances at the Under-23 and Senior National ITF Triathlon Championships held in Pune, Maharashtra, from August 12 to 16, 2026. In addition to winning medals, the athletes secured several top positions across various age categories.
Durvisha and Sargam Win Silver Medals
In the Under-23 women's category, Madhya Pradesh's Durvisha Pawar delivered an impressive performance to clinch the silver medal. Meanwhile, in the Open Age women's category, Sargam Bathre secured second place, earning another silver medal for the state.
In the Senior women's category, Aadhya Singh finished fourth after a tough contest, missing out on a medal by a narrow margin.
Athletes Making Their National Debut Also Leave a Mark
Young athletes from the Madhya Pradesh Triathlon Academy also performed impressively in the men's category. Aman Prajapati secured sixth place, and Jaten Ahirwar finished seventh. This was the first national-level competition for both athletes. Their performance in their debut national event highlights the immense potential of emerging triathlon talent in the state.
Medals in Junior and Sub-Junior Events Too
Athletes from Madhya Pradesh also achieved success at the Junior and Sub-Junior ITF Ranking Championships held in Pune. Kank Shree Dhariwal won the gold medal in the Junior category, while Ashmi Kataria won the bronze medal in the Sub-Junior category.
