Madhya Pradesh: Teachers' Eligibility Test to be held in September-October; ESB releases revised exam calendar
Bhopal: Preparations have begun to conduct the eligibility test for approximately 1.5 lakh teachers in Madhya Pradesh during September or October 2026, in compliance with Supreme Court directives. The School Education Department has entrusted the responsibility of conducting the exam to the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (ESB). The Board has finalized the exam framework, and detailed advertisements will be issued soon.
According to official information, disputes regarding the eligibility test have been tied up in legal proceedings for a long time. Consequently, this exam is considered crucial for the concerned teachers, as the results could impact their service and future prospects.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (ESB) has also released a revised calendar for potential recruitment exams scheduled between August and December 2026. According to the calendar, exams for filling over 18,000 posts across various departments will be conducted between September and December 2026.
The ESB has clarified that the released exam calendar is tentative. Final exam dates, schedules, and other arrangements will be determined based on the number of candidates and administrative requirements.
The Board has advised candidates to regularly monitor official ESB notifications for the latest information regarding exams, advertisements, the application process, and exam dates. Detailed advertisements for various recruitment exams, including the eligibility test, will be released shortly.
