MP: CM Mohan Yadav remembers those affected by Partition on ‘Vibhajan Vibheeshika’ Day; flags off Tiranga Yatras in Bhopal
Independence Day 2026: MP CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the entire country is immersed in the enthusiasm, joy and fervour of Independence Day. The Tricolour is visible everywhere, and the nation is remembering the freedom fighters who made the supreme sacrifice for India’s Independence.
Dr. Yadav said this while remembering those affected by Partition on ‘Vibhajan Vibheeshika’ Day. On this occasion he also flagged off a Tiranga Yatra in Bhopal South-West Assembly Constituency and addressed participants of the Yatra.
CM said that Partition forced a large number of Sikh-Punjabi and Sindhi families to leave behind their homes, land and property. They made this sacrifice to preserve their Sanatan culture and protect their faith. This was a direct manifestation of their love and devotion towards Bharat Mata. CM said, “It is our hope that this cultural continuum becomes one gain.” He extended Independence Day greetings to the people of the State.
Former Union Minister Suresh Pachouri, along with several public representatives, police officers and personnel, youth and local residents, attended the programme.
Sea of Tricolours on Kolar Road
CM flagged off the Tiranga Yatra organised by Karmashri from Mother Teresa School in the Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee Nagar–Kolar Road area and led the yatra while travelling in an open jeep. Before the yatra commenced, he also addressed the participants at Mother Teresa School. Former Pro Tem Speaker and MLA Rameshwar Sharma was present on the occasion.
CM praised the massive Tiranga Yatra organised by the Karmashri organisation. He said that seeing the enthusiastic participation of youth and local residents in the yatra filled him with joy and excitement. The enthusiasm of the youth has made the Tiranga Yatra one of the largest such rallies in the country.

CM paid floral tribute to Bharat Mata at Shaurya Smarak. He then inaugurated and visited the ‘Pravasi Senani Veethi’. The gallery is dedicated to the contribution of the Indian diaspora to India’s struggle for Independence, sacrifices and glorious history.
Chief Minister also visited a photo exhibition on the Partition Horrors of India organised at Shaurya Smarak. He flagged off the Tiranga Bike Rally of brave police personnel from Shaurya Smarak. He said that the police personnel participating in the Tiranga Yatra with a spirit of patriotism and public service would travel across Bhopal and inspire people to dedicate themselves to serving the nation.
