Tourists Show Great Enthusiasm as Tamia Sawan Festival Concludes in MP's Chhindwara

Tourists from far and wide participated in the Tamia Sawan Festival in MP's Chhindwara, a move set to boost economic activity. Efforts are underway to give a new dimension to employment through tourism. Homestays are increasing the income of villagers, thereby fostering village development. Collector Harendra Narayan expressed these views during the closing ceremony of the Tamia Sawan Festival.


The festival was organized in Tamia by the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board in collaboration with the district administration. 



Addressing the gathering, District Panchayat CEO Agrim Kumar shared details about the innovations being implemented in tourism villages. On the final day of the festival, a large number of tourists participated in the ongoing activities. People showed great enthusiasm for the swings, selfie points, and trekking activities.


Prize Distribution


Winners of the 'Discover Tamia' photography competition—organized with the support of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and the district administration—were awarded prizes; the winners included Neeraj Pusam, Mayank Yadav, Amit Yadav, Saurabh Verma, and Rahul Marskole. Additionally, individuals who provided active support to the event were honored.



Dignitaries present at the closing ceremony included District Panchayat CEO Agrim Kumar, Janpad President Ms. Tulsa Parteti, Junnardeo SDM Ms. Rajnandini Thakur, Tourism Board Senior Manager Mrs. Gayatri Joshi, Project Officer R.D. Siddiqui, and Ms. Sarita Topo, alongside other officials, staff, and prominent citizens.
