The Railways announced on Saturday that the Itarsi-Madan Mahal (Jabalpur) passenger train (Train No. 51673/51674) will operate daily. Train No. 51673 will depart from Itarsi Junction at 11:40 AM and arrive at Madan Mahal at 4:45 PM. On the return journey, Train No. 51674 will depart from Madan Mahal at 5:50 PM and reach Itarsi Junction at 10:55 PM. The train will cover a distance of 242 kilometers in five hours and five minutes. It will halt at Bagra Tawa, Sohagpur, Pipariya, Bankhedi, Salichauka Road, Gadarwara, Kareli, Narsinghpur, and Shridham.

The Railways stated that the Itarsi-Madan Mahal passenger train service is crucial for regional connectivity. It provides affordable, daily access to towns and smaller stations along the Jabalpur-Narmadapuram belt while connecting two major railway hubs—Jabalpur and Itarsi.

The service is particularly beneficial for middle-class passengers, unreserved travelers, and those undertaking short-distance journeys. It acts as a vital feeder service, facilitating access to employment, education, healthcare, trade, and pilgrimage sites, while also easing onward travel from Itarsi to major destinations across India.

According to the Railways, this passenger train is expected to improve regional connectivity, offer convenient and affordable travel for daily commuters and other passengers, and further strengthen the rail transport network in Madhya Pradesh.
