1 crore employment and job opportunities to be created in Bihar by 2030, what more CM Samrat Choudhary told?
Motihari: Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary stated on Tuesday that the government is working towards providing 1 crore employment and job opportunities in the state by 2030, and that Bihar will be built in alignment with the dreams of the younger generation.
Addressing the 'Kisan Samriddhi Sammelan' (Farmers' Prosperity Conference) and the 'Intellectuals and Social Workers Felicitation Ceremony-2026' at Bapu Sabhagar in Motihari, Samrat Choudhary affirmed the government's commitment to development with social justice and pledged to extend the pace of development from villages to cities.
Highlighting Bihar's economic progress, he noted that the state's budget, which stood at approximately ₹23,000 crore in 2005, has now risen to ₹3,70,000 crore. He stated that expanding employment and opportunities for the youth alongside development is a government priority. The state's economy and infrastructure will be strengthened to meet the dreams and aspirations of the younger generation.
Motihari will receive country's largest planetarium by 2027
Addressing the event, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat announced that Motihari would receive the country's largest planetarium by 2027. He remarked that while the global market is navigating a challenging phase due to uncertain policies and wartime conditions, India has achieved a GDP growth rate of 7.8 percent under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shekhawat noted that India has maintained an industrial growth rate of 8.5 percent despite global challenges such as the energy crisis and a slump in demand. He attributed this success to the government's policies as well as the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the country's citizens.
On this occasion, a grand three-day agricultural fair is also being organized by Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University, Pusa, at the Bapu Sabhagar complex. Dozens of stalls showcasing agriculture, modern technology, advanced farming practices, and various activities related to farmers have become the center of attraction at the fair.
A large number of farmers, intellectuals, social activists, public representatives, and members of the general public were present at the 'Kisan Samriddhi Sammelan' (Farmers' Prosperity Conference) and felicitation ceremony.
