Infosys’ New State-of-the-Art Software Development Block Inaugurated: CM Mohan Yadav says Indore Emerging as Tech Capital of Central India

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Indore, besides being the economic capital of Madhya Pradesh, is now emerging as the tech capital of Central India. He said Indore has a unique confluence of passion, profession and potential. The city today represents innovation, new-age skills, digital transformation opportunities, reliability and entrepreneurship.


CM Dr. Yadav was virtually inaugurating the new campus developed by Infosys in Indore from the Chief Minister’s Residence on Wednesday. He said that Indore has consistently embraced innovation in keeping with the changing needs of every era. The city has a skilled workforce along with world-class infrastructure. Indore, he said, is a brand ambassador of technology, from testing to technological innovation.


Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that during the Ganesh festival, Indore is receiving a new gift of skills, modern technology and knowledge. The inauguration of the new state-of-the-art software development block of leading IT company Infosys is a significant achievement.


Madhya Pradesh Embracing Technology


Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is emerging as a hub of technology, digital innovation and the knowledge-based economy. The state has implemented the Semiconductor Policy-2025. While Indore has institutions such as IIT, IIM and an IT Park, Ujjain is being developed as one of the country’s leading Science Cities and Bhopal as a Knowledge and AI City. 


CM said that Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of the PM MITRA Park in Dhar district, where various units spread across more than 2,000 acres will use advanced technologies to open new avenues for development. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav congratulated and extended his best wishes to Infosys officials on the development of the new campus. Several public representatives were present at the programme.


New Opportunities for Employment and Investment in Technology Sector


The expansion of the Infosys facility in Indore will promote new opportunities for employment and investment in the technology sector in the state. More than 3,300 Infosys employees are currently working in Indore. The expanded campus has more than 5,000 seats and, under a hybrid work model, will have the capacity to accommodate around 7,000 employees.


The facility will focus on advanced areas such as Artificial Intelligence, cloud technology, cybersecurity and application development. This will create direct and indirect employment opportunities while also providing a boost to local businesses and services.


The expansion will further promote digital innovation, AI and knowledge-based industries in Madhya Pradesh and accelerate the development of skilled technical human resources through greater collaboration among industry, academic institutions and the government.
