Sachin Tendulkar starts a new innings with AI, what he said about ChatGPT
Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar is now exploring a new field beyond the cricket field – artificial intelligence. Tendulkar has announced a partnership with OpenAI to explore new possibilities with ChatGPIT and understand how AI can become more useful in everyday life.
Sharing the announcement on X, Tendulkar said that his natural curiosity often leads him from one question to another. He believes that ChatGPT can help people not only in finding answers but also in practical tasks in their daily lives.
He cited the example of a recent family trip, which ChatGPT helped him plan. The experience gave them a closer look at how AI can be used for common needs like organizing plans, exploring ideas, and making decisions.
Can AI identify Sachin in just 10 questions?
To introduce the partnership, Tendulkar also shared an interesting video in which he challenged ChatGPT to identify him by asking just 10 questions. The AI eventually recognized him from his answers.
The exercise also highlighted a larger point: AI can be used according to a person's interests, thoughts, and needs. Instead of seeing it only as a source of entertainment, people can use it for work, travel, learning and other everyday activities.
From cricket records to new digital innings
Tendulkar's international cricket career spanned 24 years and he scored 34,357 international runs in 664 matches. He remains the only cricketer to score 100 international centuries. In 2010, he became the first male batsman to score a double century in men's ODI cricket by scoring an unbeaten 200 against South Africa. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour, in 2014.
For OpenAI, India is an important market as ChatGPT expands into more areas of daily and business life. Tendulkar's partnership could draw greater public attention to the practical uses of AI and encourage people to explore how the technology can fit into their own daily routines.
