Madhya Pradesh is offering travelers a new way to experience its forests, wildlife, heritage, and local culture. A 1,520-kilometer motorcycle journey covering some of the state's most popular tourist destinations kicked off in Bhopal on October 1st.

Flagged off by Dr. Abhay Arvind Bedekar, Additional Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, this 10-day expedition involves 22 riders from nine Indian states and France. Among them is 55-year-old Fabienne Christine Janine Dupuis from Paris, who is undertaking the trip to witness the state's forests and wildlife up close.

The route includes Bhopal, Pachmarhi, Pench, Kanha, Bandhavgarh, and Panna, before returning to Bhopal. Riding the recently launched Royal Enfield Bullet 650, participants will traverse forests, hills, and offbeat paths.

For the tourists, this journey is about much more than just the motorcycle ride. Riders will have the opportunity to go on morning jeep safaris in the core zones of the Pench, Kanha, and Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserves. They will also experience the local lifestyle, traditional pottery, handicrafts, and the renowned Baiga tribal art.

This journey is part of a two-year partnership between the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and Royal Enfield, aimed at promoting experiential and responsible tourism. The partnership includes plans for new motorcycle routes, off-road trails, and heritage rides.

This initiative could also create new opportunities for local communities by connecting lesser-known locations with established tourism hubs. The journey will conclude in Bhopal during the 7th Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2026.
