On Saturday, young volunteers from seven states gathered at the Smart City Park in Bhopal. They planted saplings and discussed their role in building a better India with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The event was organized to commemorate the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram'. The participants were volunteers from 'MY Bharat'—a platform that encourages young people to engage in nation-building and social service.

Shivraj joined the volunteers in planting saplings and later held an interactive session with them. The youth raised questions on various issues, to which he provided detailed responses.

Expressing his joy at meeting the young people, Chouhan remarked that spending time with the youth and children brings him the greatest happiness. He described 'MY Bharat' as a vital platform for nurturing creative and responsible young citizens.

He emphasized that building a 'Developed India' (Viksit Bharat) is not solely the government's responsibility; young people should contribute to society and the nation alongside pursuing their own personal goals.

The Minister added that such interactions aid in character building, foster a spirit of service, and help young people become more aware of their duties as citizens.

This tree-plantation drive also highlighted the importance of environmental awareness and collective action. By bringing together youth from different states, the event provided them with an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and contribute toward a greener future.

Shivraj encouraged the young volunteers to channel their energy and talent toward the betterment of society, noting that their active participation would be crucial in shaping the future of India.
