In Madhya Pradesh, 'National Unity Day' (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) will be observed on October 31, marking the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. On this occasion, a 'Run for Unity' and several other events will be organized throughout the state.

The highlight of the event will be a 3–5 km 'Run for Unity,' to be held at district headquarters with the collaboration of the district administration, the police, and the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare. Public representatives, athletes, students, youth organizations, volunteers, and the general public will be encouraged to participate.

A 'National Unity Pledge' will be administered in government offices, colleges, and educational institutions, reaffirming the commitment toward national unity, integrity, and social harmony.

Students and the youth will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and ideas through essay writing, speeches, quizzes, poster-making, slogan-writing, and short-video competitions. Suggested themes for these competitions include 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' (One India, Great India) and the role of the youth in strengthening national unity.

The General Administration Department has instructed Commissioners and District Collectors to ensure broad public participation. Additionally, freedom fighters, families of martyred soldiers, social workers, public representatives, and voluntary organizations will also be invited.

Officials have been directed to ensure appropriate arrangements for security, cleanliness, traffic management, and emergency medical assistance during these events.
