Indore: Soil collected from Indore will be transported to Bhopal for the 'Sankalp Vriksh' (Pledge Tree) program, scheduled for November 1 as part of the Madhya Pradesh Foundation Day celebrations.

The 2 MP Armoured Squadron NCC organized a special soil collection drive at the Government Holkar Science College under a national campaign conducted under the guidance of the NCC Additional Director General for Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Approximately 200 NCC cadets, along with NCC officers and college staff, participated in the event. The cadets collected soil from the college campus. Subsequently, two special packets—each containing one kilogram of soil—were prepared to represent Indore district at the main event in Bhopal.

College Principal Major Dr. Anamika Jain and SUO Nitin Tiwari explained the objective of the campaign. They stated that such activities provide students and the youth with opportunities to participate in national initiatives and foster a strong bond with their country and motherland.

Colonel Rahul Bhauraskar, Commanding Officer of the 2 MP Armoured Squadron NCC, remarked that the 'Sankalp Vriksh' campaign aims to connect the youth with values such as patriotism, service, and national responsibility.

For Indore, the soil being sent to Bhopal symbolizes the district's participation in this campaign. The event also offered NCC cadets the chance to take part in a national initiative and contribute to the Foundation Day celebrations.
