Young girls enthrall crowds at Sehore garba festival
Sehore: The Crescent Garba Festival at the Residential Sports Ground in Sehore drew a massive crowd of thousands of devotees and spectators on Thursday night. Under the Garba pavilion, young girls performed captivating group Garba dances set to devotional songs.
In the presence of thousands of devotees, and in a warm, family-oriented atmosphere, the girls—adorned in traditional attire and embodying the spirit of the Divine Mother (Adishakti)—won everyone’s hearts with their collective Garba performance.
The pavilion echoed with chants of "Jai Mata Sherawali Da, Bol Sache Darbar Ki Jai!" Under the guidance of the festival’s organizer, social worker Aruna Sudesh Rai, 5,000 young devotees performed the 'Dandiya' dance to honor Goddess Durga. It felt as though the Divine Mother herself had descended to Earth in the form of these young girls to celebrate Navratri.
Many of the participants appeared in a variety of striking and creative costumes. Bhopal MP Alok Sharma also attended the festival, accompanied by his wife, and addressed the gathering. MLA Sudesh Rai, senior social worker Akhilesh Rai, and members of the Rai family welcomed all the attendees.
The Garba event commenced with the worship of the Divine Mother, and the festivities continued late into the night. The guests offered their blessings to the participating young girls.
Television and film actress Rashami Desai is set to join the girls for the Garba festivities on Friday. The 'Aruna Sudesh Rai Pratibha Nikhar Manch' will present 101 attractive prizes to the participants of the festival.
