Sidhi: Are you looking for something unique this Diwali? At the 'Son Dhara Livelihood Products Exhibition' being held at Manas Bhawan in Sidhi, Madhya pradesh, visitors can explore and purchase a wide variety of locally-made products. In doing so, they also support rural women entrepreneurs.

The four-day exhibition, which began on November 1, will continue until November 4. It remains open daily from noon until 8 PM. Organized by the district administration, the exhibition aims to provide a larger marketplace for self-help groups, enabling women to earn an income through their skills and small-scale businesses.

From Mahua Sweets to Diwali Diyas

Visitors can find an array of interesting products all under one roof. Food stalls offer items such as mahua laddus, biscuits, and pickles, alongside amla (Indian gooseberry) candy, traditional snacks, papads, and homemade savory treats. A variety of millets—including kodo, kutki, jowar (sorghum), and bajra (pearl millet)—are also available, along with pulses, flour, and locally-prepared spices.

For those doing their Diwali shopping, the exhibition features earthen diyas (lamps), colorful rangoli supplies, decorative lanterns, and various other festive ornaments. Additionally, there is a selection of clothing, towels, handmade mats, soaps, leaf-based plates (*pattals*), and ironware.

Beyond festive shopping, this fair offers an opportunity for people to directly support rural women, promote local craftsmanship, and contribute to strengthening the rural economy of Sidhi.
