Dengue Outbreak in Major Cities in India

India has confirmed Dengue cases, with recent cases reported from: Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal. Dengue is endemic in India. Transmission occurs year-round in southern areas and from April through November in northern states.

Measures like spray of medicine is carried by the local administration.  Low lying areas where the risk of dengue is  utmost, measures are taken, like house to house campaigning is carried out to spread awareness among people about the symptoms, precautions and remedy for the disease.

Local doctors are advising the people to wear full sleeves clothes that fully covers the skin ,applying of mosquitoes repellent and using mosquito netting while resting.
