
Indian archer Komalika Bari, who hails from Jharkhand in the World Youth Archery Championship, has won the gold medal in the final of recurve cadet category. Bari won the medal after defeating Japan's high-ranked Sonoda Waka. Komalika Bari is just 17 years old at the Tata Archery Academy in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, before Deepika Kumari won the title in 2009.
Earlier this month, World Archery decided to suspend India. Until its removal, no Indian archer will be able to represent the country. Komalika Bari, who became the Cadet World Champion, started her career in 2012 at the ISWP Archery Center.
