In heart wrenching story a teen aged Christian girl in Sheikhupura city, some 50 Km from Lahore was allegedly abducted from her school by her principal Saleema Bibi and taken to a madrassa where she was forcibly converted to Islam and was locked inside and not allowed to meet her parents.
In a complaint lodged by her father Mukhtar Masih said that on the day his daughter Faiza went missing, she went to school like any other day but didn't returned, her father searched her everywhere but when he inquired in her school he came to know that his daughter was taken by her school principal to madrassa and was converted to Islam. There she was locked inside the room and was not allowed to meet anyone. Police raided the seminary and recovered the girl and was put in a shelter home Darul Aman. According to her father she told them that," she was studying Arabic at school and her principal said that by studying she is automatically converted to Islam." Her Father in his statement said that,"The principal had also offered us to convert to Islam and in return she would compensate us by paying for our needs but we refused."
In Pakistan, the issue of forced conversions has come once again. The police has filed a report in the case.
