Delhi: A Man Burnt His Bike When Fined Rs 11,000 For Lack Of Documents

 A man whose challan was raised by Delhi Traffic Police as he violated traffic rules while driving his bike and hence was asked by the Police to pay Rs 11,000/- fine under Motor Vehicle amendment Act 2019, under this Act the fine for violating the traffic rule has increased five time higher than what it was before.

 The fine was raised as the man who was driving the bike was not having necessary documents for the vehicle and in turn argued with the Police Officer.  The man was said to be in the drunken state

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
