According to Ex PM Manmohan Singh on Wednesday he said that he had used a “harsh word” for Modi in 2014 elections that when he predicted that if Modi becomes PM of India it would be turn out to be a "disaster" for the country as Modi is going to lead a disastrous government and did not want to repeat it, but people would soon get a chance to give their verdict on this government’s performance.
Singh when asked again about his verdict of 2014 said that he still stood by the prediction made at his last news conference as Prime Minister when he had said: “I sincerely believe it will be disastrous for the country to have Narendra Modi as India’s Prime Minister.”
Manmohan added that he did said that Modi will be a disaster as the Prime Minister. And now I recognize I used a harsh word I should not have used. I don’t want to repeat it. Still the time is not far off when citizens will be going to see and have a chance to have a say on the his harsh words he had used of public policy which has been put in place by Modi Ji.”
Singh was addressing another news conference in Indore ahead of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly election on November 28.
