In a unique case from Telangana, police has arrested two goats, not human beings, in the city of Huzurabad in Karimnagar district of Telangana, on Tuesday. The two goats were accused of grazing the plant which were planted by an NGO and goats were charged.
According to the information received, it is being told that the activists of an NGO caught two goats on grazing charges and took them to the police station and handed them over to the police. The plants were planted by NGOs only. Both the goats were tied to a pillar in the police station premises until their owner paid the fine. According to the police, the goat owner paid a fine of Rs 1,000 to the municipal authority on Wednesday after which the two goats were released. In fact, NGO activists had complained of grazing around 250 saplings in the government hospital premises.
