    Before the assembly elections in Haryana former captain of Indian hockey team Sandeep Singh and Shiromani Akali Dal MLA Balakor Singh will join the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday. It is learned that the two leaders will join BJP in the presence of Haryana BJP President Subhash Barla. There is a possibility that the winning wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt may also join BJP today.

    Former Indian captain Sandeep Singh is currently a DSP rank officer in Haryana Police. Sandeep Singh was awarded the Arjuna Award in 2010 for his brilliant game. He was made the captain of India's Hockey Team in 2009. A film titled Surma has also been made in 2018 on his life.
