The Supreme Court has given permission to senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to visit Kashmir. Today Supreme Court heard 8 petitions related to Jammu and Kashmir. During this, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, advocate of Ghulam Nabi Azad, argued for him to going to Kashmir. In which Manu Singhvi said that Azad has been MP for 6 times and has been the Chief Minister of the state but was sent back from Srinagar Airport.

After which the Supreme Court has allowed Ghulam Nabi Azad to go to Kashmir, but was given permission to visit only four districts. Nor can he participate in any political programs during his visit. The Supreme Court has ordered Ghulam Nabi Azad to visit Baramulla, Anantnag, Srinagar and Jammu districts. The court was assured by Ghulam Nabi Azad that he will not hold any rally during this time. Ghulam Nabi Azad had filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking permission to meet his family.
