Godavari boat accident: CM Jagan set out on aerial survey

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy left from Tadepalli on Monday morning at 9:25 am to conduct an aerial survey of the Godavari boat accident area. CM Jagan is accompanied by ministers Anil Kumar Yadav and Sucharita. CM Jagan will also meet the families of the victims during the visit. Search is still going on for the survivors of the boat mishap as people were immersed in water by closing the gate near Dhavaleshwar in Andhra Pradesh. Divers and fishermen were called in and heavy search is going on for the survivors.  Nets are being thrown near the cotton bridge.

Around 12 people have been reported dead so far in the accident in the Godavari river near Kuchulurumandam village of Devipatnam mandal. A total of 71 people were in the boat. 23 people have been rescued while 37 people are missing. There were 63 tourists and 8 employees in the boat. The rescued people have been admitted to Area Hospital in Rampachodavaram.
