Income tax department sent notice to Mukesh Ambani under Black Money Act

Law has tightened on Mukesh Ambani, the country's famous industrialist and chairman of the country's famous Reliance Company. The Income Tax Department has issued a notice to the Ambani brothers and their family under the Black Money Act.

According to information received from sources, the Income Tax Department of Mumbai had received information about black money in the country, after which the Income Tax Department has issued a notice to Mukesh Ambani and his family under the Black Money Act. 

Sources have said that the department has issued this notice to Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani along with the names of their three children. In the notice issued, it is alleged that the Ambani family has not given the correct information about their income. 

Information of many such companies of Ambani brothers has been received, but its information has not been given to the Income Tax Department. However, the Ambani's have denied any such notice.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
