Jet Airways Founder Naresh Goyal Being Grilled By ED

News is coming from ED department where interrogation is on way on Naresh Goyal founder of Jet Airways.  According to ED questions are being framed on Naresh Goyal in alleged contravention of Foreign Exchange Law.

Earlier in August Naresh Goyal Mumbai residence, offices, group companies and directors of Jet Airways were searched.  The search is including a  dozens of premises of the company. Its joint ventures and sister concern companies.   According to ED department Naresh Goyal is not cooperating in the probe because of this ED department is finding it difficult to probe and search.

Transactions are being checked which are been carried about by the company like selling and distribution.  ED is checking the books of the company which are showing heavy losses. 

According to the ED department Naresh Goyal is grilled for the transaction including purchase and selling done by the company.

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
