Noted Jurist Ram Jethmalani passed away yesterday at 7:45 AM at his official residence at the age of 95. His Son Mahesh Jethmalani told that he passed away due to prolonged illness and he was not keeping well since long.
He died days before his 96th birthday. His last rites were performed at Lodhi Road Crematorium last evening. He is Survived by his son Mahesh and Daughter who lives in US. His other daughter passed way in 2011.
Born in Shikharpur in Sindh Province now in Pakistan in 1923 on September 14, he become a lawyer at the age of 17 and was the youngest lawyer at that time. It was said that he had never lost any case. He was also a Union Law Minister and the Urban Development Minister during Atal Ji led NDA government.
