Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be honored with Russia's highest civilian award. Russian President Vladimir Putin will honor PA Modi with this award. PM Modi said that, "Nuclear plants are being built in India with the cooperation of Russia, we are taking our relationships outside the capitals. I have been the CM of Gujarat for a long time and Putin also knows the territory of Russia".

PM Modi further added that, "Your invitation to the Eastern Economic Forum is a great honor for me. This is a historic opportunity to give a new dimension to the support between the two countries. I am waiting to participate in the forum tomorrow".   He further said, "You have announced that I will be awarded the highest civilian award of Russia. I thank you and the people of Russia. It is an honor for 1.3 billion Indians".

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
