The Central Government employees will get a hike in their minimum pay from Modi Government, the Diwali gift has been extended for these Central employees in the form of an allowance.
The government has announced to give Rs 1,000 as cooking allowance to confectioners and assistant confectioners working in government canteens and would be effective from October 1, 2019.
The hike in the minimum pay of government employees is yet to be announced. Currently, the minimum pay of the Central Government employees is Rs 18,000. According to reports as per survey by the government this amount is not enough to meet the present price index.
The Central Government employees are demanding a hike of Rs 8,000 for the current salary has failed to impact their financial condition. The employees are asking for the minimum pay scale of Rs 26,000/- as per current level of Rs 18,000/-.
According to reports cabinet in its approval has said that their increase in wages will benefit 1.1 crore employees and pensioners in the central government.
Accordingly if the government goes ahead with this move the employees would get the maximum increase in DA by 5 percent, and their salary under the 7th Pay Commission pay will increase from Rs 900 to as much as Rs 12500 per month.
