According to reports NASA has released recordings of eerie sounds coming from red planet which was picked by Insight Lander. The sound was far from being heard as it was below the normal range of hearing and were only recorded by slightly processed to be audible through headphones.
The spacecraft`s sensitive seismometer, called the Seismic Experiment for Interior Structure (SEIS), can pick up vibrations as subtle as a breeze. The instrument was provided by the French space agency Center National d`Etudes Spatiales (CNES), and its partners.
This was designed to record and listen for quakes on Mars, known as marsquakes. Scientists wanted to study how the seismic waves of these quakes move through the planet`s interior and it revealed the deep inner structure of Mars for the first time.
