Agreement Signed between India and Pakistan


India and Pakistan have signed an agreement on the commissioning of the historic Kartarpur corridor on Thursday.  This corridor will be channelizing Sikh devotees of India to reach the holy Darbar Sahib located in Pakistan. This corridor will be connecting Dera Baba Nanak Gurdwara in Punjab, India with Darbar Sahib of Kartapur.

The program to sign the agreement was organized at Kartarpur Zero Point on the Pakistan-India border in Narowal. Gurdwara of Kartarpur is located in Narowal district of Punjab province in Pakistan.  

Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism spend last 18 years of his life in the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib. Under the agreement, devotees will come here in the morning and return to the Gurdwara Darbar Sahib by dusk. Every day at least 5,000 devotees will be allowed to visit this holy site without a visa. Each devotee will have to pay $ 20 as fee.
