ED Has Submitted Review Petition In D K Shivakumar Bail Plea

According to the latest reports coming in the bail granted to D K Shivkumar by the High Court have been challenged by the Enforcement Directorate.

As according to ED this bail is the set back in the case, as the case is at initial level and at this stage the if the accused is out on bail then he may influence the witnesses as at the moment witnesses have yet to be questioned.   

And granting bail to D K ShivaKumar at this stage would be directly tempering with the evidences of the case.  

This petition would be heard by the Supreme Court after Diwali Vacations as the courts will reopen on November 1, 2019

Media and Entertainment sector lower downs 24% in 2020 despite last-quarter rebound

  India's media and entertainment (M&E) sector lower downed 24% to Rs1.38 trillion in 2020 due to the corona-virus pandemic. The contractions came despite a rebound in the last-quarter. The M&E sector is supposed to expand 25% to Rs1.73 trillion in 2021 and compound annual growth rate of 13.7% to Rs2.23 trillion by 2023, according to a joint report by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(Ficci) and EY, finance consulting firm.  While advertisement revenues dropped 25% to 19,900 crore and subscriptions fell 20% to 15,400 crores. Digital advertisement remained unchanged, but print (Rs 8,400 crore) and television (Rs 6,900 crore) advertising saw the steepest declines. The only segments that rose in 2020 were digital and online gaming, which added a total of Rs 2,600 crore and their contribution to the M&E sector rose from 16% in 2019 to 23% in 2020.
