Lal Bahadur Shastri ji .....
He had never told his mother that he was a railway minister. And had always said that "I work in railways". Once Shastri ji came to the railway building for some program, at the same time his mother also came there, and thought of meeting him asked people that my son also works here.
When people asked the name of her son and the reply they heard shocked them. Security officer said,"Are you are lying". But she said, "No". People took her in front of Lal Bahadur Shastri and asked, "Is he your son?" So the mother said "Yes he is my son". And people showed the minister, "Is she your mother?"
Then Shastri ji called his mother and sat with her and after some time sent her back home. So the reporters asked Shastri Ji "Why didn't you told your mother that you are a minister." To which he replied "My mother does not know that I am a minister. If she comes to know, she will start recommending people and I will not be able to refuse and she will also have arrogance."
Everyone was shocked to hear this answer. Late Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri was a true example of Senselessness, truth and honesty. Remembering him on his birthday as a person and PM who didn't have a house even when he was a Prime Minister of the country. As when he died and his wife had to vacate PM house she didn't had any place to go.
