The date for the assembly elections in Maharashtra has been announced. Recently, Congress has released the list of 52 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections on Tuesday night.

Former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Dheeraj Desmukh, Yuvraj Mohite and others are in the released list. According to the first list of Congress, Nitin Raut will contest from Nagpur North and former Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde's daughter Praniti Shinde from Solapur Central.

In Maharashtra, Congress and Sharad Pawar's NCP are contesting the elections together. Both parties will contest 125-125 seats and the remaining 38 seats will be contested by alliance partners.
