According to reports on Wednesday Enforcement Directorate officials team have arrived to Tihar to interrogate Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram in INX Media Case. During the interrogation Minister wife and son were also present.
After the interrogation P Chidambaram is now formally arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the INX Media case. And now ED will move the court to take Chidambaram into custody.
According to reports the Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi had allowed the ED and given the permission to interrogate former Union Minister P Chidambaram in the INX Media case. The court in its verdict had said that after interrogation if the ED feels that there is a need to arrest the Minister then ED can arrest Chidambaram by showing the facts and evidence before the court.
The CBI has also filed its reply in the bail plea filed by the Minister in Supreme Court. The CBI has also opposed the bail application of P Chidambaram as the investigation is still going on and if the Minister is given bail then he may influence the case and the witnesses as he is an influential person and had earlier also used his office to obtain his personal gains
