She is one of the most beautiful, famous, talented and evergreen Bollywood Actress of all time and today also her beauty and style is famous among all. Today is the 65th birthday she is celebrating, she was born in Chennai in 1954 to a Tamil Actor Gemini Ganeshan and Actress Pushpavali.
In the very beginning her dreams were different to that of an actress. In an interview to a magazine she has confirmed that initially she wanted to become nun. As most of her schooling was from a convent school and looking nuns and seeing their ideals she wanted to become like them. After this since she was inclined towards travelling she wanted to become an air hostess. But Rekha didn't had any interest towards acting but due to deteriorating financial conditions of the family she had to leave school and act.
Many controversies have also revolved around Rekha in her life. In which Rekha's relationship with Amitabh was in the news. Rekha used to love Amitabh very much. But as Amitabh was already married she couldn't get the love of her life.
Apart from doing having some of the blockbuster movies to her name like Khuboorat, Biwi Ho to Ais, Umro Jaan, Phool Baney Angaarey she did all types of roles and her films were mostly women oriented as compared to other actresses. She has 145 movies to her name and almost all are successful.
She is also member of Parliament and rarely she goes to Parliament House and whenever she is there she is an eye of attraction among other members of Parliament.
